The Reinbach/Rio di Riva river flows into the Ahr river near the village of Campo Tures. Its water mainly consists of glacier water. East of the village, the river attempts to find its way through a gorge, forming three impressive waterfalls.

Hiking Trail

From the village centre, follow the trail marked with number 2 until you reach the parking area, where you'll switch to trail number 1. Leaving the Riva River behind, continue the hike in a gorge. Soon, you'll reach the first waterfall, the smallest one at 10 meters. From here, the terrain becomes more challenging, and the path ascends. You'll join the St. Francis trail. The markings are clear, and you won't get lost. Follow the river, and soon, you'll reach the second and third waterfalls.

Rio di Riva

High in the mountains of the Valle Aurina, the Riva River originates and flows down through the valley, carving through the landscape and creating the Cascate di Riva along its course. As the river progresses, it nourishes the lush and verdant environment through which it moves, supporting a variety of flora and fauna native to the South Tyrol region.

The river plays a crucial role in forming and sustaining the area's picturesque landscape, including the meadows, woodlands, and other aspects of the local ecosystem.

No reservation is required, and all equipment is provided.
